Percy Jackson: A Book Review
This stunning story follows Percy Jackson, from his point of view, through his journey of discovering his identity as a demigod. On the way, he meets some of his life long friends, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood. His two new friends help him on his first quest which is offered by the oracle in which he needs to return the lost lightning bolt of Zeus. This book follows the risky adventure and the struggles that Percy, Annabeth, and Grover go on to return the Lightning bolt. On the way, their skill as a team is tested as they face monsters and betrayals.
Although an outstandingly well-written book, some would argue it is a book for children, but this book is geared towards not just the young minds. This book, along with being incredibly written, is an exciting and invigorating interpretation of the ancient Greek myths. While following the traditional role of the gods and the original stories, Rick Riordan tackles these tales in a new light with new characters and adventures. It is an easy read and it captures the imagination marvelously. This book is a short and fun read that includes problems and an undertaking every page turn.
